Dietary Analysis Programme

This programme is suitable for most people - especially those who are keen to improve their nutrition and just need good information and a structured process to help make those changes.

Step 1

  • Download, complete and return the health questionnaire and 4 day food diary. If you would prefer to receive a copy by post or email, please contact me and I'll be happy to send one out.
  • Once I have received your questionnaire, I will undertake the software analysis then contact you to arrange an appointment and answer any questions. My clinic runs at the Therapy Rooms in central Hove on Saturdays.  Please note, there can be a waiting list at busy times of the year - if your need to be seen quickly please contact me before completing your questionnaire to clarify whether I have appointments within a reasonable timescale for you.

Step 2

  • The first appointment will last for around 1.5 hours. We will go through your goals, the detailed analysis report and agree some dietary additions and adjustments together.
  • You will leave the appointment with a detailed report identifying your calorie, carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamin and mineral intake and how these fit with current UK Government Guidelines and nutritional best practice. You will also take away an example meal plan and some "do's and don'ts" tailored directly to your needs and goals. To see a short extract from an anonymised report please click here.
  • As part of the first consultation we agree a method for monitoring your progress - this might be through tracking the reduction in headaches, weight loss or stress levels - whatever it is that is important to you. This ongoing evaluation is essential so we can recognise the success from the efforts you make.

 Step 3

  • We meet again in 4-6 weeks time to review progress and make adjustments to your plan. This is a key time for keeping motivation up so this second appointment is vital and gives us opportunity to discuss any difficulties and agree some workable solutions. Second visits usually last 45 minutes.

Step 4

  • We meet again at the end of the 3-4 month period to review your progress and look in detail at which parts of the programme have made the biggest difference to you. We then make final adjustments to the food programme and you leave the appointment with all of the information you need to take your goals forward and stay on the road to improved nutrition!
